Heart #153

Template designed by: Mette Voldmester

Mette Voldmester has been inspired by the fairy tale "Den grimme ælling" (The Ugly Duckling" by H.C.Andersen when she designed this template. Since the author is the inventor of the weaved heart it seems very appropriate.

This is one of my absolute favorites, since that fairy tale is the one I love the most - and then there is my frenzy about rubber ducks ;o)

Heart #152

A lot of Danes eat duck on Christmas Eve, originally it was goose that was served - however since goose were more expensive than duck, the common man usually had duck instead.

Adding one more tag to the hearts as from today, as I just learned another name for these hearts: braided heart.

Finally up to date - this one looks like the one from yesterday, but is merely another interpretation of heart with hearts.

Better late than never I guess....??!!

Whoops slight delay

Somehow December equals a little bit of stress, so a little behind in posting of the weaved hearts. They are actually made, but need to locate them under the pile of last minute Christmas cards to be sent, some requests for my phototags and.... work *SIGH*

The weaved heart is an old Danish tradition, but it can still make it to the frontpage on magazines, so generation after generation can be taught how to make these :o)
